These are the questions we are actually asked before people register, answered directly and without the padding. Where the honest answer is “it depends on your country,” we say so and tell you what to look for rather than guessing on your behalf. Where the answer is simply no, we say no.
Cost and obligation
Is it really free to join?
Yes. No joining fee, no starter kit, no product package, no annual renewal. Registration involves no payment step at all — which means you can verify this yourself by walking the flow through and seeing that no payment screen appears.
Do I have to buy something to complete registration?
No. There is no qualifying order. You can register and buy nothing, then or ever.
Is there a minimum monthly order?
No. Nothing is required monthly to keep your membership. See keeping your membership active for why this question has two different meanings depending on who is asking it.
Will I be charged automatically for anything?
Registration does not create a subscription or auto-ship. You are not enrolled in a recurring order by signing up.
Eligibility
How old do I have to be?
18 or older, in every market, with no exceptions. There is no junior tier and no guardian-signed alternative.
Can I join if I live in a country not on your list?
Our sign-up page lists the markets we have active links for: USA, Philippines, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and India. If your country is not there, contact us rather than registering through a market you do not live in.
Can I register in a different country from where I live?
You should not. Registration is per market and affects delivery and catalogue availability. Register where you live.
Is Hong Kong available through this site?
No. We do not offer a Hong Kong sign-up route. If you are in Hong Kong, get in touch instead of trying to use another market’s link.
Can two people in a household each join?
Yes — each adult registers in their own name with their own details. What you should avoid is one person holding two memberships.
The registration-type question
Consumer or Distributor — which should I choose?
Consumer, for most people. Our full comparison explains why in detail.
Does Distributor get me a better price?
No. This is the single most persistent misconception about Atomy registration. Both types shop at the same member pricing. Distributor additionally registers you on the business side; it is not a discount tier.
Does registering as a Distributor obligate me to sell anything?
No. There is no sales requirement, no quota, and no inventory to hold. You can register as a Distributor and behave exactly like a shopper.
Can I switch later?
Yes. It is a supported account change rather than a new application, in either direction.
Which option appears first on the screen?
It depends on the country, and this matters more than it should:
| Market | Registration screen |
|---|---|
| USA | Distributor first, Consumer second. |
| Philippines | Consumer first. |
| UK | Consumer first. |
| India | No Consumer option — Individual Distributor and Corporate Distributor only. |
| Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia | Varies — look for Consumer or Member by name. |
Read the label, not the position. American sign-ups in particular tap the first tab out of habit and register on the business side without intending to.
Filling in the form
What information do I need?
Legal name matching your ID, date of birth, a deliverable address in your country, a mobile number, and an email address you actually check. Full detail is on our requirements page.
The form asks for a branch or centre. What do I put?
If that field appears, choose 평촌조은 (Pyeongchon Joeun). Not every country’s flow includes this step, so it may well not appear for you — do not go looking for it if it is not there.
Do I need a sponsor or referral code?
If you arrive through our sign-up page, that side is normally handled for you rather than typed in manually. If a specific person introduced you, use the link they gave you so the connection is recorded correctly from the start.
Do I need a business licence or tax registration?
Not to register as a member. Tax obligations related to business activity are a separate matter and depend on your own country’s rules.
After registering
How long does approval take?
We deliberately do not quote a processing time, because it varies by market and we would rather not give you a number to be disappointed by. Watch for the confirmation email — and check spam before assuming something went wrong.
Where do I see prices?
In your market’s official Atomy mall once you are logged in. We publish no prices on this site because they are set locally and change; check your country’s official Atomy mall.
What should I buy first?
Something you already buy anyway — a household staple with an obvious comparison point. That gives you a real judgement rather than a borrowed one. Browse the categories to see what your market stocks.
What if I never buy anything?
Then you have a free, dormant membership that continues to exist. Nothing happens.
Problems
The form won’t submit.
Usually a number or postcode format the validator dislikes, or browser autofill inserting something wrong. Try a different browser with autofill off. Our troubleshooting guide covers the rest.
I got no confirmation email.
Check spam and promotions folders. Corporate and school domains filter hard.
I think I registered twice.
Do not register a third time. Tell us and we will point you at the right route.
I picked the wrong registration type.
Not a crisis. It costs nothing and obligates you to nothing. See the comparison page.
